2009 Vectra VXR - SOLD!

Featured Replies

EDIT : The car has now sold. :'(

On the plus side I now have some money to buy a petrol Mk2 Octavia vRS estate.  My budget is up to £6k so give me a shout or I'm on foot for the foreseeable future.

Here for sale is our 2009 Vauxhall Vectra VXR.  It was first registered on 31/3/2009 and is currently showing 87727 miles, (although this will rise as it is my daily driver).

The car has all the usual VXR specification but has a few upgrades over standard.  The extras in no particular order are, auto wipers, auto lights, the full colour sat nav system and auto dimming rear view mirror.

We’ve had this car for two years and are selling purely as we need an estate car.  If I could find a way to keep this car I would as I had the chains done last year by Nick150, it’s had a new set of 19” Team Dynamics Imola wheels a couple of months back with new tyres last week.  I have spent money on this car as it was going to be a keeper but family circumstances dictate we need to move on

Everything works on this car and it is mechanically sound.  I replaced the rear springs a while back as one had snapped and the garage were very complimentary about the condition of the car.  In fact it gets a lot of compliments and admiring looks – I’m going to miss that to be honest.

If you are looking at this advert then you know what the car is, how much you get for your money and why it pains me to sell.  If you buy this car then you will be getting a cracking car that produced 283bhp on the rollers at RS Tuning in Leeds, (I have the printout for the new owner) and a driving experience that is to be enjoyed every time you turn the key.

The bodywork in in good condition.  There are no car park dings or dents and the only marks are the usual to be expected on a six year old car.  It isn't perfect and I'm not pretending otherwise but as you can see from the photos the car sits well and cleans up very nicely.  The bolsters on the seats are still in good shape and the interior is the same as the exterior as it is in better than average condition.  Both keys are present and the spare looks like it's never been used since new.

I’m happy to answer any relevant questions via the ebay message service and am a genuine seller (look at my feedback).  I’m asking a fair price for the car as I’d rather sell it than have it sitting here in six months.  I am open to reasonable negotiations with sensible people and you are more than welcome to view the car before the auction ends.  If you don't have proof of fully comp insurance I'll happily take you out in the car.  I will require a £200 deposit to secure that car and it will need collecting within one week of the end of the listing.

I am asking £5750ovno.

The car is located in Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

The car is advertised elsewhere and can be withdrawn at any time.

I really don't want to sell this car but I need an estate for the kid's bikes and all the associated stuff they seem to need.  As I said, I thought I'd post on here as you never know, someone might be tempted.

Here are the pics that are on ebay, they were taken today.

Thanks for looking and if you have any questions let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Andrew.

Yeah, it is a shame and I might still find a way to keep the car.  It's such a lovely car to drive and on the way home from work I had convinced myself that I would keep it.

I should have waited for an estate version when I was looking around the first time.  In fact I am thinking of another Vectra but the estate version as the boot is massive.  I have looked at the Mk2 Octavia vRS estates and as much as I'd love one, the boot isn't quite as cavernous as a Vectra.

Didn't take long at all!

WHAT!!! Have you got a replacement lined up then?

Totally missed this Andrew.

Wow - sold quick enough; good luck in the search for the Octavia vRS Est!

Not exactly lined up but I'm sussing a few out at the moment.  We're currently all squishing into the Ignis! :D

I know Ste, it was all a bit quick to be honest.  I priced it to sell and could have sold three at that price within the week.

I'm on the lookout now, ideally this week.  It's be nice if I got a car from a forum member who cared for their cars as much as I do.  Some of the offerings on Ebay and Autotrader are rather tatty, especially in my price range.
