Hi all,

 

I've spotted a nasty chunk of bubbling rust in the passenger door well. It appears to be coming from between the metal sill and the plastic protector, and it looks like the previous owner has used some vaseline or the likes to cover it.

 

If I go along to Skoda now, do I have any leg to stand on in terms of getting it sorted under the 10 year paint corrosion guarantee? 

 

This is the damage, it's just mild surface rust, so I may be able to fix it myself? The plastic trim is damaged and sticking up so I suspect it's been caught and some point. Can this be replaced?
