What Seats Will Fit My Rapid?

Featured Replies

I'm pondering swapping out the seats in my Rapid. I sat in a Fabia Mk3 Monte whilst mine was in for service, and whilst the colours are a bit Marmite, they felt great.

I used to love the seats in my Mk1 Fabia vRS, but didn't like the ones in my Mk2 Octy vRS as they weren't long enough in the squab and gave me back ache after a couple of hours.

I don't like the ratchet backrest adjustment in the Rapid, I much prefer a wheel adjuster. I'd really like more side support too, a seat you sit in rather than on.

Mine are quite acceptable, but I want better.

Can anyone confirm what other models have compatible seats?

Octavia 3 has wheel adjustment backrests.

How about looking at cars built on the same platform as the Rapid.

That's the thing, I think the Rapid is unique unless anyone can tell me otherwise?

For the front seats, you can probably use seats from a Fabia or Octy.

For the rear, that's a different matter. AFAIK the rear seats are not parts shared with any other vehicle in the range.

I can tell you that the seats of a vw polo 6r won't go, just by unscrewing... Don't think the Audi A1 will go.

Fabia maybe?

They do look decent, but its the extra support I'm wanting, I'm happy with the fabric and how they look. :)

I think the simplest option for me is to find some MY2015 Sport Seats and fit them - no mean feat! I may even price them up at Skoda... *gulp* Might as well go heated if I'm doing that too...

Seems expensive.

Have you considered trading the SE Tech for an SE Sport?
