Climatronic is driving me nuts.

 

The fan (speed) keeps increasing/decreasing up/down as though I was messing with the fan speed setting - which needless to say I'm not - it does it all by itself.

 

Only if I press the recirculation button does the fan then stop the revving and blow at a steady rate.

 

Any ideas?

If I have mine set to auto it does this to maintain the desired temparature

How fast and by how much is it doing it by?

 

If you are getting intermittent sunlight shining on the photocell on the dash this can also cause the fan to speed up and slowdown but only by 1 or 2 increments so it mainly goes un-noticed

The fabia climatronic is pants.

"Pants" it certainly is...

 

Where on "Auto", either "AC" on/off or if I choose the fan speed setting manually it keeps coming back to this revving up/down issue, including at night, so sunlight on the sensor isn't the issue.
