I'm looking at fitting maxidot in my fabia. I emailed simpsons and they sent me some codes 5jo920941k, but they stated they cannot confirm these are the correct codes.

I have found a cluster that matches this codes which is vd1, along with an ecu. I have also found company that are willing to swap them but they want to fit the new ecu along with it.

What is the easiest way of confirming the parts are correct?

Is it worth changing everything along with the ecu for maxidot?

Any help/advice would've appreciated.

You need to ask Eddie-NL he fitted mine, you don't need a new ECU, just the correct cluster and the code for your radio, and someone like Eddie who knows what they are doing to fit them.
