last week my octavia scout 57 reg has developed an issue, when driving regurless of speed or gear im in it will suddenly stop responding to the accelerator pedal until i depress the clutch and release then i have accelerator pedal back weired. know though the control system for exhaust light has come on.

 

how can i fix this problem???

Only thing I can think of is that the brake switch is possibly sticking on so the car thinks you are braking and accelerating at the same time so inhibits the accelerator pedal.

 

You need to get the fault codes read

hey thanks for reply only fualt found was an issue with the exhust sensor
