Changing from long life to standard servicing

Featured Replies

Car is set to long life service at the moment but am going to give it a service soon

Display shows 3800 til next long life service.

Do I have to wait until the mileage gets to nearer the service or can I change before that

Want to revert to standard time/mileage intervals

is it just a case of doing the service and resetting to standard on the dash display under vehicle status

Hope that makes sense

Earlier services won't do any damage, and yes doing a reset via the dash will automatically switch it the standard 10k 1year services.

I was covering 14-15K miles a year when I bought my car but now down to around 9K. It was serviced yesterday (2nd service at 35,300 miles and 24 years + a month). Service interval changed, at my request, from Variable to Fixed (1 year - 10K miles).

With my lower mileage, when I change my car in the middle of this year, I may well go back to a petrol.

As mentioned above you can reset the service interval yourself (by following the guide in the manual) and this will then revert to fixed intervals.

It is only if you need to go the other way (fixed to variable) then you need a dealer or VCDS.
