Any views on Osram H7 Nigtbreaker Bulbs ?

Featured Replies

Pondering whether to change my headlight bulbs over the extended daylight period (i.e. 'Summertime') ..

I know there has been various comments about different types of replacement bulbs but was just wondering if anyone has tried Osram H7 Nightbreaker Bulbs ?  Can get a pair of them off the internet for £14 odd which seems reasonable ...

Cheers !

I have used these before and found them to be very good on both projector headlights and normal halogens.

Beware of cheap ones on ebay. I would buy from a reputable seller.

I currently have osram nightbreakers unlimited h7 in my Octavia. Transferred from my old car.

Much much better than the standard bulbs that were in my car when purchased.

There's a slightly whiter light with a blue tinge round the edges of the beam pattern

I fitted a set last Autumn. Bit of an improvement on stock bulbs for sure. Heard some horror stories about them lasting a couple of weeks, but mine are in over six months now without problem. My dipped beams come on with the ignition (DRL mode or whatever) so they run all the time. I had tried nightbreaker bulbs in my bikes previously and they didn't last long so probably vibration rather than heat that kills them quick.

Running Nightbreakers in high-beams now for 3 years, now problems and light is considerably "whiter". No more "yellow patches" within the xenon light. Not sure they are more powerful or add to visibility range-wise, but the picture I see looks much better for me. No more annoying yellow :)
