Not a Skoda, but . . .

Featured Replies

I have posted elsewhere on the Forum about my failed Megs DA and the replacement sourced in an emergency from Argos, so I won't dwell on that.  Anyway, my son and his fiancée bought a used Kia Sportage and asked me to get the paintwork up to my usual standards.  To be fair, for a five year old car with 47k miles on the clock, it wasn't in bad shape, with no major swirls from car washes evident, but there were a few marks on it and the paint was a little flat.

Products used probably wouldn't be everyone's choice, but worked for me as follows;

Megs Ultimate Compound & Hexlogic Orange Pad

Megs Ultimate Polish & Hexlogic Green Pad

Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax & Hexlogic Blue Pad

Megs Ultimate Dash and Plastic Protectant

Challenge Xtreme Dual Action Car Polisher http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4645777.htm

Rather than try to describe the results, perhaps the pictures tell the story;

Very nice job indeed - the finish looks very nice and a great gloss on that black paint.

Thanks for sharing, and the positive words on the Argos DA too.

That might be a great machine for a few guys on the forum to start out with  :thumbup:

That does look very good if I'm honest & £55.00 for a DA polisher ain't bad either, looks like the above pictures speaks volumes  B) & even if you said you did it with a £200.00 DA etc I don't really think anyone would be able to tell? very impressive  :thumbup:
