Interesting how close a journey costs just in terms of fuel.

 

Factor in the additional cost of buying a diesel and with the increasing mpg of petrols they are making more and more sense for those who don't tow etc.

 

Not quite as simple as that though as residuals etc. have to be taken into account.

 

Would be interesting to see a complete life cycle comparison carried out taking everything into account.

Madness really. 

 

I did manage to get £70 worth of fuel in my Fabia a few years back. 

 

And the van was £100-110. That was a little annoying lol
