I need a new radiator fan switch 6U0959481D my Skoda dealer tells me Skoda have discontinued the part so were can I get one I have looked on Ebay but they all seem to have 3 terminals mine has only 2 terminals can any one help locating one I live in the UK but I could send from any Euro country.

 

I have some pictures of my switch on my PC but unable to post them here when I click on image it asks for URL ?

on ebay there are many with 2 terminals, there are two types, one low temperature and one higher temperature. personally i prefer the lower temperature one.

also if you cant buy genuine stuff (which they are removing alot from stock) buy an aftermarket one there are many reliable ones. mine is working just fine and its aftermarket because i replaced it when i replaced the radiator.

Hi I have managed to show some pics of the switch I require hope they show. Note new radiator. I bridged the switch plug and the fan motor works OK. If any one knows were I can purchase one please can you post a link to the web page many thanks.

Is yours the 1.3mpi model ? Because mine is the carb model and its a bit different. On ebay there are alot like your type

Yes I have found these on Ebay but unsure if they will fit they have 22mm threads and 2 pin connector in a angular box the temperature range on the one is 97-92 and I think this is the one. any ideas thank you for replying.

I got mine from Skodaparts.com (Bickerton's garage).

 

Craig and Gary at Briskoda parts would be worth a try too.

It's only the diesel modals and air con models that use the high low switch the 1.6 and 1.3 models that have single speed just done a diesel rad and fan conversion to my 1.4 16v
