Picture request - Black Octy Estate VRS with refurb wheels

Featured Replies

I am looking to book my Neptunes in for a refurb at The Wheel Specialist in the next month or so. My current car is a black Skoda Octavia VRS estate.  I had originally decided on gloss black but now fear this may be to much black on black especially since I colour coded the grille black too.

I am looking for some inspiration.  I know that darker alloys are not to everyone's taste but I like them.  I am now considering any colour between black chrome and gloss black.

I guess I am not really looking for opinions as everyone has different tastes and therefore colour is subjective.  What I am really looking for is for anyone who has a black Skoda Octavia Estate with refurbed wheels to post some side on pictures to help me decide which finish I would prefer.

Any photo uploads would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Forgot to mention, I have Googled this but haven't found much although I did find this which may belong to someone on here:

If you go for black wheels, be prepared to dress your tyres every 2 minutes. Black wheels make faded tyres stand out like a sore thumb. Can look good when just cleaned on the right car, but I prefer a dark silver or anthracite to black personally.

Good point, I never thought of this.

I had TWS gunmetal grey on a previous black Octy which looked amazing but just wanted something a little different.
