Check Engine AND ESP lights at the same time!

Featured Replies

Help!!

I was briskoding my skoda:D when my check engine light came on:thumbdwn: . I went to the dealer and the computer says "MAF Signal too High". They reset it and told me to come back if it came on again. It did today. Apparently it only comes on when i give it a really hard run. It this an indication that my MAF is on it's way out?

Also, my ESP light suddenly came on and wont go away. I suspected this disabled my stability program and it did. What can cause my ESP system to suddenly disable itself like that? Tomorrow i will go again to have the dealer check those codes, but i still want to know what the briskexperts have to say about this.

By the way, i drive a 2002 4x4 Octavia hatch, only mod is an Electronic Boost Controller from Freedom Design

Engine feels exacly the same with or without the check engine light

no one?

try running the car without the boost controller switched on / fitted and see what happens.

also when the ESP light comes on does switching the engine off for a few seconds cue the problem?

other than that its a dealer job.
