Parrot Handsfree Kit

Featured Replies

Ok, I am looking at getting a Parrot hands free kit professionally installed, but i have no code for my Bolero head unit. My car is a 2011 Octavia vRS, i have read varying posts saying that a code is not needed as it is matched via the ECU. Could anyone clarify if i require a code or not before i commit to the install as more than likely it would need disconnecting.

Thanks in advance guys.

If it's the original HU you definitely do not need the code.

Thank you for that, as much as i would prefer the OEM bluetooth i am going to have to settle for a Parrot install.

Any reason for settling for a parrot? The OEM BT modules aren't hard or expensive to install.

Mainly the price, can get a parrot fully installed for £169.99, also don't fancy pulling panels off to install OEM one. Just out of interest what does an OEM one cost?

Bit of effort for the oem one one but worth it. Did mine a few days ago, biggest job is getting the loom in around or behind the radio and routing the mic to either the interior light (where it should be) or the easier option, at the top of the windscreen trim. Guess which one I went for...

Does it have to be placed under the driver seat or can it just be 'tucked' behind the glove box or somewhere similar?

Pretty sure you can stick it behind the glove box.

Either. Mine's under the driver's seat and the loom etc behind the radio.
