Rear screen retrofit for columbus

Featured Replies

Hi, I have been looking into getting a rear screen for the young 'un to watch things on when on long journeys and figured it would be nice to use the columbus to output video to it seen as that would utilise the cars speakers and not some tinny in built speakers on a stand alone system.

I have seen a few adaptors on ebay but has anybody else gone down this route that can recommend any hardware? I've had a quick search about and couldn't find anybody that had done any sort of 'how to' guide on it.

Its not going to be a permanent install at this point because I don't want to start splicing into the cars wiring for power so I will probably just use the 12v socket to power any converters by running the wires down the back of the dash and into the footwell somehow.

If its going to be a total ball ache i'll probably just end up getting an Ipad bracket but just wanted to put some feelers out
