Hello everyone.

 

My name is Krešo and I'm from Croatia. Also a member of a Croatian Skoda Club.

I'm 26 years old and finishing school for a mechanical engineer.

In my yard i have a beautiful red Fabia mk1 2005 with powerfull 1.2 12V HTP engine, and a super black Fabia mk2 2007 with 1.4 16v engine and Sportstyle package (very rare in my country).

 

I am preparing on restauration of a Skoda Favorit Silverline in mint condition (currently in proces of acquiring 2 Favorit Silverlines, also very rare in Croatia), and a plan is to have another Favorit in like a modern sporty version. Also a plan is to give a home to a Skoda Forman (Favorite estate) in some forseeable future, but currently there are none for sale.

 

Reason i choose Favorit is because they are very cheap to buy and parts are not too expensive in my country. And i saw a Silverline edition once and it won my heart.

 

I came here to get an inspiration for my sporty version and to get all available knowlege to make my restauration as painless as possible.

Croatia is a lovely country, I was there in 2001 for a sailing world championship near Rijeka but have not been able to get back again.

Hi Krešo and welcome to the forum! Good luck with the projects. Sounds like it will be fun When you are restoring the Favorit you should set up a thread in the projects section of the forum and you'll get great interaction there.

Thanks guys. I have arranged two silverlines and expecting them at my home on sunday. Cant wait. One will be restored in original state, and for other one i have already prepared VW mk1 GTI engine. I will create a thread when the cars arrive home
