Does anyone know how to code cornering lights using fog lights with VCDS or VCTOOL?

I found this info. On my car it worked. I have basic led headlights.

 

Cornering lights via fog lights activation:

09 - Adaptation - leuchte 12 NL L B45 - lichtfunction B 12 - abbiegelicht links
09 - Adaptation - leuchte 13 NL R B5 - lichtfunction B 13 - abbiegelicht rechts
09 - Adaptation - leuchte 16 BLK SL - lichtfunction B 16 - abbiegelicht links

I've used this on my 22 VRS, with matrix LED headlamps & can confirm it works. Both fog lights also come on when you select reverse gear 

What happens to the warranty if one does this kind of adjustments? Corner lights option is really cool, especially in round-about situations. When I was selecting options for my Octavia, I went for this, but then when I was placing the order with the dealer, the option was not available any more. It was about 150€. 

Maybe I go and check how  much do they charge for activation. 

 

I have coded the cornering lights, changed the signals bulb with LED's. My car has 4000 km, I went to the dealership and they said that it does not affect the warranty as long as there is that module on the car and there is no physical modification.  They have no way of knowing if the car had cornering lights or not.  They don't check for that.

i am ready to put an order for an Octavia TDI Ambient edition (my country is Greece)

The fog lights are optional at this edition, so i will add to my order too. 

Skoda itself asks 100euros for cornering lights more (250euros for Fog lights) + 100euros for cornening lights. 

Is it possible to activate this feature be myself ?

Thank you, worked for me. Had to leave the car to sit for 30 mins after the coding to see the change working.

Octavia 4 led lights

The infotainment screen shows corner lights but the fog lights are not lit.

Tested on a stationary vehicle, engine started, lights on.

They may be working, you may need to be moving, I thought my DRL's were not working but they are extinguished when the handbrake is applied, the cornering lights will most certainly be inhibited in that instance.

It's very hard to actually see if they are working without a second person watching.

Corner works.

But now, my DRLs are on with the headlights.

When switching from DRLs to headlights, do I need to switch off the DRLs?

The DRLs are on with the headlights even on CH/LH

Sounds like the app has changed more than it should. With incidentally, is why people keep saying “don’t use the apps”.

You need to find the manual coding for DRL and manually change it back.

Can you advise me what to change to turn off the DRL when switching to headlights ?
