New owner Stereo upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just picked up a '12 FL Vrs with bolero , no MFSW and no Bluetooth and so want to get that sorted. I've searched thread after thread and read a whole lot about the options.

I have a couple of questions I'm hoping you can help with :

If I'm fitting a double din unit such as a pioneer what exactly do I need ? I know I'll need a facia plate, but do I need any brackets? Do I need an aerial adapter? What about harness?

With an aftermarket unit I've heard about switching the lives and possible battery drain? What's the facts here?

I appreciate I'll lose the climate display function but Is there a way to keep this?

Hopefully these are easy for someone!

Kenwood DNX521 or DNX 525 should answer your needs.

Google it and have a read.

To knowledge you'll need a double din facia adapter, and a adapter harness to go between the unit and car. Not sure about the battery drain issue though sorry.

I'd go for Columbus and genuine bt if I was you.

All fits plug and play and everything will work

Cheers guys.

Thinking about biting the bullet and selling the pioneer unit and parrot I have to fund the dnx as really like the look of the unit.

Thanks again
