Rear window washer not functioning

Featured Replies

The rear washer on my 2012 1.6TDi has ceased to function. The wiper is fine and the pump is working fine on the front screen.

I don't know how to release the cover inside the hatch to reveal the pipe work. Can anyone please give me some advice where I should be looking.

Regards, carbman.

You sure it's not just the jet that's blocked? Doesn't take much for it to block.

On the estate the pipe runs behind the trim on the near side of the boot. This is a common place for it to leak, often manifesting itself as water in the spare wheel well.

The jets can be lifted out and cleaned ,from under the wiper arm cover,  easier than trying to take off the trim coverings .

My washer nozzle was blocked pop the nozzle off and press the wash wipe to check everything else is working careful not to soak anyone walking behind

Okay, thanks everyone for your help. Will check out everything today (hopefully) and get back to you shortly.

My jets keep blocking with brown rusty stuff. Also the water comes out all rusty coloured sometimes.

It's a bit of a weak point on the Octavia is the rear washer. Think mine is rusting inside and won't be long before it dies.
