  1. Oh standard system you mean was 2nd hand cut and i sleeved it
  2. Not sure on the connection to the front pipe apart from that they are the same shape system best to check with miktek part numbers
  3. for sale my octavia vrs tfsi mk2 hatch milltek cat back exhaust non resonated only fitted for 4 weeks but a little to noisy for my taste (must be getting old) so removed for a standard system it was purchased and fitted by vrs northampton mint condition cat connector pipe non res centre axle pipe and back box plus all milltek clamps and original invoice advertised on ebay located in south leicestershire any questions please message thanks ,chris http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Octavia-vrs-exhaust-/192265210359?
  4. I looked at the standard system on the car and the centre silencer is only a small cylindrical silencer not a big box muffler like milltek middle section so i think the resonated may be quiter than standard i think they fitted a bigger middle box on the facelift vrs to make it quieter as i always thought its sounded good for standard even after my old leon with cobra cat back
  5. skoda quoted +£600 for supplying genuine middle and rear exhaust might replace it with a miltek non res system @£412
  6. Thought about welding but the pipe is far to thin due to rust but i saw a place on ebay that will make up a back box for £130 stainless with choice of tips as long as the middle is ok
  7. My back box joint has started blowing on the vrs hatch tfsi any ideas on oem replacement costs, milltek around £500 cat back but selling the car in a few months :-(
  8. I had check the engine light first time it was purge valve and second time I replaced the carbon canister all good since if it's running as if it wants to cut out it could be a faulty breather valve which the previous owner replaced on mine, if it's working properly when you remove the oil filler cap with engine running the engine should start to run lumpy then recover when you refit the oil filler cap if not its faulty
  9. My plastic fuel lines were vibrating from the area roughly under drivers seat I just adjusted them slightly I thought it was coming from the engine initially
  10. I did notice when the car has been jacked up it stops knocking for a few miles
  11. I have two of the rubber air box grommets broken so that's loose I will fix that but I don't think that's the cause of the knocking as I have noticed it never knocks while braking over the same bumps it usually knocks on when driven over without braking
  12. i thought i would add to this thread rather than create a new one , i have the mystery knocking from the nsf on my vrs, i changed the rear suspension arm console bushes to meyle hd version hoping this would cure it, but its still knocking so i have ordered the subframe spacers and bolts from awesome gti failing that i will try new drop links, it had a service at skoda only a month ago plus an mot and they did not pick anything up apart from perished rear bump stops btw the cars is a 2007 60k
