Can you upgrade maxidot pre-facelift to facelift

Featured Replies

I've got a 2008 Fabia 3 with maxidot but it's the older style, if I get my hands on a newer 2011 maxidot dash/clocks can they be coded in?

Thanks

In a word.

No. (:

Never mind then. Thanks

Its abit more complicated than just plug and play even if its just swapping a cluster in a FL. theyre all different makes, although they look the same and need some intense coding in.

I think the canbus system is different on pre fl and fl too, amoungst other things.

Thanks again then, I won't bother if it's major hassle, not like it's improved that much, just a prettier picture :D

I'm tempted to buy a 2011+ mk2 with it having newer technology but then you have a worse engine 1.6 CR and then have to have a DPF as well...

I like the 2008 Fabia 3's since they have the 1.9 PD still.

No worries mate.

You could always go petrol? 1.2tsi is nice.

I know your problem though. Ive got a 1.9pd VW Transporter and fancy a new one, just dont want the new engines or a DPF. Its tough isnt it!
