2016 spaceback lowered?

Featured Replies

I've used the search and trawled many posts but can't seem to get a definite answer. I've a 2016 Spaceback 1.2 TSI Sport SE. Looking to lower it on springs. From what I understand there's no skoda kit available for this car.

Is the current eibach kit suitable for this year of car or just the earlier ones or has anyone fitted the H&R springs?

Irrespective of any opinions given via a forum, surely your first port of call should be the manufacturer of the kit (if only from an insurance viewpoint) who, one would have thought would have designed the kit with the appropriate content and/or instructions for the intended vehicle? An email in their direction for which you can get a written reply should do the trick.

My dealer fitted OEM lowering springs to my Rapid before delivery to me. Caveat: mines the saloon, not the Spaceback.

also Scholar has the heavier 1.4 which needs different spring ratings to your 1.2

Seanbrady49 on here is having eibachs for his 2016 Spaceback (again a heavier TDI)

On his thread we've posted links to the Eibach catalogue which list every rapid body/engine combo.

Thanks for the replys. I thought I'd read somewhere the latest engines were higher powered and a tad heavier requiring different springs to the 2012 models. I'm going to email eibach and H&R for conformation.

I checked last week. Seans kit fits cars with both old and new style engines

I see PI offer springs at F30mm and R40mm. Anybody used these. There pictured in red though so if this is the colour would need powder coating to black.

Aren't Eibach the skoda 'oem' springs?

Yes but theres been a few on here using other brands. There is a white Spaceback in "picture of my rapid" with a 30/40 drop and BBS wheels. Cant recall the make of the spring kit.

That sounds like the H & R kit.

I think HR is 35mm at both ends.

In "a pic of you car - please add" the Spaceback at post #92 has a 30 front 40 back drop by lowtec and it looks great
