Somehow I've got some tree sap on my car. Horrible clear sticky stuff.

Any tips on the best way to remove it?

Wash your car. Can't beat hot water and shampoo sometimes. If you use wipes or just try and polish it straight off you're going spread all the other dirt and dust all over your car. Only time I use wipes is for bird poo and only on the stain.

A decent traffic film remover or snow foam will strip it off.

Snow foam and wash,job done.

I've got a tree at the end of my drive and sometimes as soon as I've finished drying my car the roof already has fresh sap on it. I really want to chop the ****er down

I must have aphids the size of the common house sparrow around here.

I never park under trees unless I really have too!!!
