Vent Louvre

Featured Replies

Hello again.

I have a problem and that is that I'm a fussy guy when it comes to my car. I have a Fabia, which I bought recently, however, as it's second hand there are a few minor things not quite how I'd like them. I've sorted them all, bar one; a broken louvre on the centre console vent (the vent on the right as you look at it). This means that when I adjust the vertical direction of the air coming from this vent, one of them does not move. This, as I'm sure you can appreciate, is very annoying and looks rather silly! I have to angle it 'manually'. I've had a look to swap it with one on the driver

If you have no luck, try www.skospares.com who sent me a bit of missing trim for nowt when I changed the interior of my car from beige to grey :D

Easiest thing to do is buy the bit that clips in the back of it, new from a dealer. Think it will be around a tenner. Saves buying a whole new one (ask for the internal vent mechanism for the left hand most vent as it has the up/down adjust on the correct side ;))

Pop out centre vent with a cloth covered screwdriver - The right hand side unclips from this frame, pull out old vent, thrown away, replace with new. I had the same thing, and couldn't be ar5ed to fix it, so threw away the whole vent thing and stuck a boost guage in there. :o Still there now - I like it.

i broke one of mine with one of those stupid mobile phone holders and my local skoda garage replaced it on the warranty, the garage is Winchester Motor Company! hope this helps
