Hey there, geese :D

Hey there, geese :D

I'm kind of a car or just vehicular newbie, don't know anything about any of this stuff.

But I'm an eager beaver to learn :)

Recently(Last Monday) bought a Skoda Superb Elegance 2.8 V6, the 2004 model. Couldn't afford anything younger, unfortunately.

He's driven around 257.XXX kilometers and is all leathery and sexy.

I love driving this car, the only thing I have some beef with is the automatic transmission as I feel as if he sometimes switches gears either too prematurely or too late.

But that's only when I'm just flooring it, not when driving at the normal speed of 50-100kmh.

Mine is actually a METAN hybrid. So he starts in gasoline and when the coolant water reaches, I think, 40-50°C, he switches to METAN.

A METAN car wouldn't have been my first choice unless there was actually a roughly $3.127 difference in the price between this one and the next one above.

I'm on disability for my Schizophrenia so I couldn't spend a whole lot on an automobile.

Got this one for roughly $6.170. And I feel it's been worth every cent since I bought it. Aside from a little mishap yesterday when something related to the coolant system erupted and now he literally pees water and coolant fluid. The weird thing was that I wasn't aware I had driven a speed bump or something and hit something up under the engine part.

But now I just have to carry with me a two liter bottle of water or two and give him something to drink every once in a while.

The reason I'm registering here is because I have two issues. One with the cruise control which I just cant seem to wrap my head around and the other with that anti theft security system thingy on the radio. You know, where it says SAFE and no sound comes from the radio. It's pretty damn annoying but it happened after the car ran out of electricity during the whole initial coolant leakage thing and I had to get a start from a professional auto shop who also diagnosed the car with severe bladder control issues.

Anyways, I'll make a thread on both of those things. Thank you and have a great day :)

I've decided, after managing to fix that SAFE thing, only to have the car die on me again and it appearing again, to just contact a dealership and buy a new or "new" smartphone ready radio. If that fits in my 2004 Skoda Superb Elegance.

Apologies, Didn't realize you had them rules about profanity. I always think I'm just posting on Reddit where everything's allowed.. :P

Thanks for the editing and I will keep profanity to myself in the future :D
