Going to change the rear pads & dics Skoda say disc size for the above car is 253 mm x10mm is it ok to fit 255mm x 10 instead as these are the nearest i can find or go up to 256mm x 10mm hi to all out there

Are you sure they said 253mm?

 

As far as I know the only size options on the Octavia are:

 

232mm,

Hi thanks for your reply i thought the same but looking on the internet they do sell 253mm x 10mm ones so will go for them skoda morecambe it was that told me

 checked on line and these come out from ACEPARTS

and are the correct part for 2006 octavia 1.9 tdi pd

The choice does seem overly complicated.

 

I think your choice (looking on ebay) is correct at 253mm (and for my estate), however ECP do not list this size for my 1.9tdi pd (estate).

 

To be sure check your cars PR number in your service book matches the item descriptions PR number.
