Carpro essence, CQUK, Reload & Hyrofoam

Featured Replies

So thought I would post up my review on the above.

I started 12 yers ago odd with off the shelf stuff, moved on to a complete Zaino Z2 & Z8 detail and then over tre last few years onto the Sonax range of sealants topped witb Brilliant Shine Detailer (BSD).

Not having the time to polish/buff/play every week I decided to move onto something more perminant but with the option to add every so often, hence the CQUK and Reload option.

The Leon was decontaminated and then Polished with Carpro essence. Lovely product, ease of application (via DA) and removing was awesome, so easy and left a lovely finish.

I then began with CQUK straight over the Essence without any wipe down as suggested by Carpro.

Found Ihad to work in smaller sections than I prehaps would with previous products, but got the hang of it quickly. I would use the small applicator cloths for two panels (4 areas per panel) then dispose, one of the large buffing cloths lasted me the whole car continously turning, every panel.

I used less than a quater of a 50ml bottle of CQUK.

Half way through, rain was expected so i concentrated on getting the B pillars back done, this way I could squeeze the front of the car into the garage and continue. Thankfully rain strted about an hour and a half after CQUK application so I covered in Relaod and left the rer of the car in the rain whilst completing the front half. Again once left for 90 mins again, I covered in Reload and left out in the rain overnight.

Next morning I dried the car and went over with a soft microfibre.

I had no problems with application or water marks so all is good and the finish is great.

So I left the car for 10 days before washing. It had light grime on it so I used Carpro's new Hydro foam. Now it does suggest the car is washed first then Hydro foam used, but i decided to simply use it as a shampoo. I foamed the whole car then lightly went over with a mitt and pressure rinsed off. Left the car looking great again. It definantly added a little something extra, the beesing was a little tighter, but on the wheels where there was no protection it definantly added a later, they were beeding great.

The downside is its expensive to always wash the car this way, 6/7 washes from 500ml.

Now I used it on the wifes Octy which had faded Sonax sealant and it completely rejuvinated it, and its still holding strong 3 weeks on.

So a thumbs up for CQUK, time will tell on life span. Reload is also very nice to apply and use. Will go to this every 4 months or so to top up. Hydro wash is great, car washed and added protection in 10 mins. Going to be ideal in rubbish weather when you really need to clean the car but rain is ruining play.

A few images. Plus a few of the rare beast that also has the essence, CQUK & Relaod treatment.

Thanks

Steve
