How's things

Featured Replies

I just bought a 09 superb 1.9 TDI. I'm coming out of a 02 Passat that I've put up 200000+ miles that's finally being retired. Hopefully the superb will be as lucky with me. My only concern is the BXE engine but the pump and shell bearings have been done I'm told so fingers crossed. Here's to another 200000+ miles ????

Hi there, welcome along to the forum!  What mileage is on the Superb?  The 1.9 unit in particular should easily be good for 300/400K kms if looked after well.  BTW is that a UK import if its an SE model you have?

Yep. Imported in 2013. 120000 miles. Picked it up today. Nice car to drive. Sat nav needs updating but works perfectly. and just realised there's no Bluetooth in it. Plus there's an annoying rattle in the back which appears on bumpy roads (plenty of them in Ireland) I think it's the headliner. Must investigate.

Check the rear overhead passenger light as this can rattle a little.  Difficult to spot noises though sometimes and is often a process of elimination.  Certainly no shortage of dodgy road surfaces in this part of the world!
