Gen-3 glasscoat

Featured Replies

Hi

Dealer ofered me gen-3 glasscoat paint protection for my news skoda superb.

Anybody used it? Is it worth to pay over £200 for it?

Edited by Szmulik

It is worth it in commission to the salesperson and the dealership.

Much less money could be better spent on a decent detail/correction and achieve far better results. £200 for that snake oil is definitely a waste. A decent ceramic coating is only as good as the prep work undertaken on the paintwork beforehand - and they just slap this stuff on after a quick wash with a sponge. There's probably a reason why they never let you watch them put it on. Avoid!

It probably does do a job but that much random chemistry thrown at Joe Bloggs is just there to confuse. Might as well add it to an the advert for feckin face cream.

That nonsense always makes me suspicious.
