Fabia Estate Rear Shocks

Featured Replies

Hi

Just looking for a bit of advice I need to replace the rear shock absorbers on my MK2 5J 1.9 TDI , looked a few places and most just seem to supply the shocks without the protection kit, the ones that I have found always seem to be for the 6Y model which is up to 2007, yet they seem to be the same as the 5J which is 2008 on, am I missing something here or are they different for the 5J version

I have seen 1 kit,  dampers and protectors  with the alloy mounts but it retails for £120 plus delivery the shocks are gas filled on this model, any suggestions for a better price for a pair of shocks with at least the protection kit as I could re-use  the mounts from the old ones

Any help would be appreciated

Is there anything that will suit listed here?

Had a look on AMD and it seems to be for the tuning side not really what I'm after I was just looking for a set of rear gas  shock absorbers which are standard fitment on the fabia combi 5J with a protection kit --- covers and bump stops for a decent price cheapest so far £120 plus delivery

Tried them they are more expensive than the main dealer and sell dampers I've never heard of plus they do not supply the bump stops and covers, at the moment I contacted a supplier for the complete kit ie dampers protection kit and top mounts so will see what they come back with

Do you have someone in the trade that can get you the parts.?

I have never seen the protection parts you are looking for.

Techie or someone else that knows these cars will be along soon hopefully.
