Are heater control panel plug and go

Featured Replies

Was told by local dealer new heater control panel had to be programmed to car and was not plug and go, Is this true?

I remember something in the Haynes manual about having to do some coding work if replacing the climate control panel so dealer could well be correct.

Thanks for feeding back.  I found a thread that there may be a series of fault codes that may need resetting after installation.

Anyway, I've brought a new control; panel for £50 of Ebay so it hopefully will just be a reset cost.

Still better that the £283 charge from the dealer.

No problem. If you've a fellow Briskodian nearby with VCDS they may be able to coding for a few beer tokens. Somewhere on this site is a map of their locations.
