Featured Replies

Hi all the last few days I've encountered a strange beeping noise on my car.

It happens when sat in neutral or on the move. But there's no warning lights on the dash panel..I've got a video of the sound but don't know how to upload it

Gif you to listen too. And hopefully someone could help

Thanks.

I'll move this to the right section, you can upload the vid to you tube then share the link here.

Ok thanks.

That sounds technical. Oh oh

Upload to utube

I'll try thanks.

That sounds like something aftermarket that has been fitted and is now beeping for some reason. I certainly don't recall ever hearing that sort of noise before.

I've heard that noise before but can't think where!

I think it's to connect your phone or an immobiliser thing.

Certainly doesnt sound like an oem noise to me...

Ok cheers all. The video as now been sent to skoda. See if they can identify it.

I'll keep you posted with the outcome.

If no joy I'll be taking car back for a refund.

Only had it a week.

2013 model.

Got 1 month warranty. With local garage.

Not looked at the video yet (don't have sound here at work)... But the only 'Bong' sounds my 2013 Greenline makes are - 4 degrees outside temperature, 80mph (that's what I set t to) reminder, Lights on reminder, Seatbelt not plugged in (over 10mph) which gets faster and louder till you stop! and the Service Reminder

I've not heard any others! but all of the above have some form of Display/Maxi-Dot notification also!

I know your frustated with it but it really is nothing!

i suspect if they remove the radio they will find extra wiring behind it and just need to remove /  unplug them.

Cheers m8.

There is like a small microphone type thing which is attached to the interior light. I did ask them was it a Bluetooth parrot or something and could it be that that's beeping. They said they don't know. I gave got a pic of it.

Have you tried scanning for Bluetooth devices whilst in the car?
