Headlining replacement.

Featured Replies

While I search for a decent leather interior for my Octy Estate to replace the filthy and holed disaster that currently shames the car, I have decided I can at least get on with replacing the headlining which is yellow and stinks of cigarette smoke and has a number of burn holes in it.  I'm an ex smoker with smokers in the family but have never encountered a disgusting mess like this in a car!

I'm assuming it is a "shell" lining as fitted to my old Pug 405 estate, So apart from the screws in the "Jesus handles" and sun visors, the cabin lights (already removed and condemned due to staining) and the pillar trims, is there anything else beyond possibly velcro strips holding this in?

If anyone has recovered theirs I would be interested to know if there are any snags with the shape of the roof etc. I have a length of (wrong colour) roof lining which I am dyeing black - it would look out of place in its current colour it was originally obtained to replace a "not white but close to it" lining in another car.

Making more calls today to see if I can track down seats door cards and carpet. This car is really taking some sorting out!
