Haldex Oil & Filter Change

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know of a good place to get your Haldex oil and filter changed, at a good price !

Place is   autotecnic in Sheffield (near Meadowhall) price was £89.90 for oil and filter, bit cheaper than dealer !

Contact number is   0114 242 4455 (ask for Bob)   Unit 12, Amos Road, Sheffield, S9 1BX

They do all German cars, service MOT etc, nice people.

Cheers,

Lloyd

Got my last haldex oil change at the dealership for £65.

Another dealership quoted over £100, so deals can be done if you shop around

Car went into D M Keith Wakefield January 2017 for ECU upadate and service they rang me and said at 40,000 miles Haldex oild and filter needed changing. They  wanted £199.00p for the change. Checked the internet and found that it could be done for £98.00p so showed them the site and they dropped it to 129.00p. Seems way over the top.

Thanks for that Kenny. I was not best pleased. I also was told the rear crash bar was missing. I was told they would replace it free of charge. When I was told the car would still be ready at the same time as before the Haldex change that is when I became suspicious! A look on the internet showed a SKODA dealer in the South had a price list and it was shown as £98.00p. As the car had a pre-delivery, a subsequent service and then an MOT followed by this recent service before this being noted. That leaves me wondering. It is obvious the car has had a tow bar previously as the panel underneath the rear bumper has a section cut out. So to be fair, the tech who worked on it this time was thorough?? The cynic in me says could the astronomic cost of the Haldex change have covered the cost of a rear crash bar and fitting? I am sure not. Needless to say the issue is still not resolved. I appreciate your input. It only heightens.my suspicions and resolve. Thanks again.
