They've been doing this for years in Brittany!

That's the Brest road. An offshoot of the North Brittany highway. Quite heavily used, particularly for commuting at the port end.

 

So obviously a nice little money spinner. 

 

Drivers have double  cause to get frustrated using that road because, from memory, there are next to no filling stations on the route, and amongst  the few that there were many have closed down.

 

Saying that, its getting like that round here. Lo large number of the independent garages have gone to housing,. What will you have or supermarket fuel ?
