Bolero unit issue?

Hi all. Just got a 59 Octavia with the standard Bolero 6 disc in it. While the unit seems to be working ok, I have now had a couple of noises that sounded like something really heavy being dropped on the roof. I had this previously, and it was traced to a capacitor dying in the stereo of that car. Has anyone else had a similar problem with the Bolero unit, and does anyone know what a new unit will set me back?

Hi All, I know this is a topic that seems to have been covered a million times but my vRS has become a problem child. It was losing a small amount of coolant and I would get the odd whisp of steam from the back, I diagnosed a leaking EGR Cooler (confirmed with off car pressure test) and a small water pump leak. I replaced both and thought my work here was done. However it now seems to have made losses worse, this time from the reservoir, so yesterday I did a 90 min motorway drive and by the t

Hi all, I have my Fabia currently fitted with the base Swing head unit. I'd like to upgrade to Bolero or Amundsen, and it's important to me to stay strictly with original skoda/VAG parts - no aftermarket Android units or third-party adapters. My main goals: Apple CarPlay (via SmartLink+) - Swing doesn't support this at all Rear-view camera integration - not currently fitted What I have found so far: I would probably need Bolero unit 6V0 919 604 (and variants) to fit my Skoda. Airbag error, what can reset it?

During my hardwire dash cam install, I removed the trim which holds the passenger airbag switch and unplugged it. Now (unsurprisingly) I have an airbag error on the dash. I’ve cycled the ignition a few times in hopes that would reset it, I also tried enabling and disabling the airbag with the key, still no joy. Is this something I can reset at home? I’m hoping something like ODBeleven free plan can do it, but it’s difficult finding out what the free plan can actually do.
