Hi all,

New here as just picked up a Octavia Vrs in black, love the car and it drives lovely

One issue I did have was the cigarette lighter had no power, so with some help from reading posts here I found a cable plugged into the fuse which looped through to number 19 which is the controller unit for trailer detection does this mean its been towed? I removed it and put a fuse in the cigarette lighter one and all working again.

Have a look under the rear of the car see if a towbar has been fitted. Most will still leave the towbar frame in place if they remove the tow ball due to the hassle. Most likely still have the electrics connected for the same reason.

Thanks for that, I've had a look but no mount. Any ideas if it wasn't used for trailer/caravan why someone might have looped it through?

Could have just been for providing permanent hardwire power for a sat nav or dash cam
