Speaker upgrade

Featured Replies

I'm seriously considering upgrading the whole sound system in the Superb. Having read a couple of threads on here dating back a few years about replacement speakers it seems some kind of adaptor is required to fit the replacements. I can't find this adaptor anywhere though! Has anyone else got any experience fitting replacement speakers?

Thanks!!

When I was looking into this for my Octavia I too had read about the need for adapters as apparently the standard speakers are a weird size that you can't buy off the shelf.

These are the ones for Octavia but can't find Superb specific ones:

I have a feeling they may be the same for Superb. Maybe have to measure and see.

You're probably as well off cutting adaptors yourself to fit the speakers you buy. The speakers are riveted into the door, so the rivets need to be drilled out to replace the speakers, which often means that even if you're careful the back of at least one rivet will end up rattling in the door :(. Over time they'll fall out the drain holes in the bottom of the door if they're small enough though.
