Skoda Sat Nav Installation Instructions

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have a set of instructions that they can email / post up for a Skoda Sat Nav System? My dads tried to wire the one up in his 04 plate Superb but failed miserably. We also need an ariel for it but need to know what sort of ariel we need too, so if anyone has the instructions that go with the sat nav, it would be very much appriciated if someone could post them up, or email them to [email protected]

Many thanks for any help you can shed on this.

James

try www.satnavsystems.com for parts i.e aerial.

You'll need the 20 pin adapter and it is litterally simple job of old radio out, old connectors connected to the 20 pin adapter, plug them into back of satnav and slide it into place. Its honestly as simple as that.

I was looking for 1 of these systems but the sellers on ebay say for the sat-nav you have to wire sensors upto the rear wheels 9i think for the speed readings?)

so is it simply a case of plug in an adaptor, plug into stereo, fit ariel and thats it?

yup thats it... no rear sensor needed. I know on the official fitting it does have this........ but it works perfectly fine without it so dont know what the sensor actually does??!!

The speed sensor wire (from front wheels I thought) is a standard part of the loom. It is needed in order to work the GALA function (increase volume with speed) on standard head units. So if you plug old to new you have it anyway.

that explains it then
