Washer Hose - Connecting new hose?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got a 2007 Octavia and I'm wanting to connect another bit of rubber hose to the existing washer hose. The only problem is the existing washer hose is corrugated and feels like plastic? My plan was to use an ordinary barbed hose connector but I'm not sure if this will work given it is plastic. The connector is some sort of Skoda quick fit connector, is there anything which will plug straight in to that? Reason for all of this is I'm trying to plumb in a Heatshot which I've had laying around for a while now.

Any help would be grateful. I'll try to get a picture up of the hose soon.

When I repaired the rear wiper on our Fabia I got some sample lengths of clear pipes from eBay. I cut the corrugated plastic clean, got some boiling water, dipped the ends and pushed over the plastic pipe. Went over 12mm or so. I then secured with 2 cable ties per side.
