Led Side light bulbs in 2016 VRS Diesel

Featured Replies

Hi there, just had my new Diesel VRS  a few days and am very pleased with it, I would like to change the side light bulbs to LED ones, I take it that won't cause any issues with the CAN bus system..? I would also like to change the front fog light bulbs for something a bit brighter and whiter, how easy are these to change and what size of bulb and how many are in each side..?

Any help given will be much appreciated.

Cheers

Everything you need to know & buy is in this thread

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/404992-led-bulb-replacements/

In that link, I have the rear indicator bulbs, reverse bulbs, front side lights x 2 & rear boot inside trunk/cargo bulbs, all work perfectly.

The exterior is monitored so you will need someone local to you with VCDS to do the adaptions (Check the VCDS Map) as this is the proper way & don't buy CANBUS as a fix around because its not the right method (it will work) but you can cause serious issues (BCM) etc...

The interior is not monitored so no VCDS required, just plug n play...

I have these for my interior, map lights in roof etc & glove-box, which fit perfectly.

If you fit these the result will look like this. ;)

These LED bulbs don't need coding.

They consume real 3 Watts and the ECU is happy with that.
