What product for rubber mouldings.

Featured Replies

Greetings to the car detailers.

I have just taken delivery of a brand new VRS 230, during my first cleaning/waxing of my new baby I noticed that the mouldings around the side windows are all made of a rubbery type of material and I was wondering what products others used to enhance/maintain these mouldings? My last car had a lot more plastic around this area which waxed up quite nicely but that is not going to work this time :(

I was wanting something that would make them bit glossier if possible, and preferably sticking to some of the main car cleaning brands as availability can be a bit limited on some products here at the bottom of the world.

Many thanks.

Chris.

Hi Chris

Depends on the durability you're looking for - something simple like a tyre dressing will work well on these type of mouldings but these dressings won't last too long on the grand scheme. For more longevity look at something like Solution Finish - both examples very quick and easy to apply.

All the best

David
