Vrs toolkit question

Featured Replies

I've just got a second hand spare wheel and I'm thinking about buying the toolkit so it sits neatly inside spare even though I have a Jack and brace ect...if I buy the toolkit does it come with the clamp that holds the spare down tight?

It's a mk3 vrs BTW

I ordered this and it doesn't fit inside my spare wheel... it's an 18" 5 x 112 audi A4 space saver. I thought they were supposed to be all the same?

Yeah see if you look at the foam part it has four spacer parts around the foam body that if you look at the last picture where the tool kit is in the wheel ain't there...mine has the four spacer parts and therefore doesn't get any where close to sitting inside the spare wheel. I could cut them of but it should just fit shouldn't it? My spare is 18" so fairly big

It should fit to the spare wheel housing with the spacers, without them to inside the spare wheel.

It should fit to the spare wheel housing with the spacers, without them to inside the spare wheel.

Do I need to cut away the spacers to fit it inside the spare wheel then?

I think it's designed to sit up from the spacesaver so that it helps support the floor.

As above

The spacesaver is much thinner than the 18" alloys you have and that`s why it wouldn`t fit

Both toolkit looks the same to me, only the foam housing different so the vRS one can sit in the spacesaver and the other one (not for vRS) would fit snugly in the normal steel wheel
