SD card specifications

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I've got a Skoda Fabia MK3 which was manufactured between 01/01/2016 and 30/04/2016.

I wanted to purchase a SD or microSD card to solely store music and I was wondering what are the supported specifications of the card. The manual only says:

Source          Interface         Type                       Specification                File system

SD card        SD reader        Standard size        SD, SDHC, SDXC        FAT16 VFAT FAT32 exFAT NTFS

But no maximum seq/rand read speed, maximum size in GB and so on.

Thanks !

The 2015 version does not advise using a micro SD card I presume the SD slot is still in the glove box where vibration can affect the micro card contact. I have been using a standard SanDisk Ultra 8GB SD HC 1 and a 10 in a circle Have been using it for18 months with no problems. Hope that helps. Joe.

On the card it also has 40MB/s' transfer speed

Correct, the memory slot is located there... I think I will stick to a "fat" SD car then.. I wanted to know to take advantage of the last Amazon Cyber Monday sales.. thanks!

I put music on a micro sd card, about 32Gb and plugged it in, it works fine, make sure its a top grade one 10.
