Team Heko Sellers.....

Featured Replies

The Mrs is wanting some Team Heko deflectors for the Citigo and wondering where people have been buying there's from?

I bought some for our Fabia vRS's years ago and had no issues but can't remember where I got them from. I bought a set for the Superb last year from eBay and suspect they were fake as they didn't fit the car at all and I struggled to get a refund (Had to open a case with PayPal & eBay who eventually got the seller to pay my money back).

I'm thinking it's best to just go direct to Heko themselves but wanted to check beforehand as they are obviously more expensive direct from them rather than via other sources on eBay etc....

Are there any official Heko sellers in the UK?

Got mine off eBay from Seller Autozone VF

£22.80 delivered.

Very happy and fit perfect

When i put them on both our mk1 Fabia vRSs they were fine..... No issues with autoclosing.... Had to use the clips though and think i may have run a small amount of lithium grease along the top of the window edge to stop them from not auto closing.

Me and Michelle fitted mine in under 10 mins mate.

If you don't get time, tell Ange to pop over one evening

Oh well no deflectors for this citigo....... :(

Was fitting the driver's side one and front end went in place and then got the back end in ok and all looked good...... Put the window fully up only to find the back end of the deflector was pushing out the window rubber to the extent that it looked like the deflector was going to pop out and wasn't fitted correctly....... Lowered the window again to try and make sure the deflector was in the correct position and with an almighty "crack" the back end tab of the deflector sheared off.

Having taken the buggered deflector out it turns out it looks to have been in the correct position but the machining of the part of the deflector that you see was maybe very slightly out and sitting slightly under the window rubber instead of up against it.

So now have a broken deflector and a driver's side window rubber that has now got a lift in it where the deflector has pushed it out of pace and up away from the window. :(

Pics? I have a spare deflector, but would need to check if it's the drivers or passenger I have spare, is yours a 3 or 5 door? The rubber will be pushed up anyway with the deflectors in, mine have pushed up, but I have had mine in for a few years

It's a three door.

This is the break.......

I've circled the bit of the deflector that seems to not have a straight machined edge and it curves slightly in then back out at the very end which is where it was pushing out from under the window rubber rather than being up against the edge of the window rubber.

And here is the window rubber..... This is after I've tried to push the rubber back into shape but it is still stuck out and that is after the deflector only being in position for a few minutes. You can see where the very end of the deflector edge in the previous picture was pushing up from under the rubber making it look like the deflector was going to pop out.

Just looked at the passenger side deflector and have realised the driver's side one is machined totally wrong........

Here they are next to each other..... Notice how the passenger one at the bottom has a smooth rounded transition from the tab section to the main deflector body compared to the driver's side one above it that has a stepped edge rather than smooth rounded edge.

With this in mind I'm thinking I should have a good case for a replacement set from the seller??????? As the driver's one obviously was fitted correctly but because of the faulty edge didn't sit in position correctly which is what I originally thought before I tried to reposition it.

I've just contacted the seller and attached the above photos to show the difference between the two deflectors and that the driver's side one is not to the correct shape etc.....

Let's see what they say.

They are sending a replacement out as they agree it looks to be faulty. :)

Sorry to hear this matey, hope the replacements are ok

I'm just glad I tried putting the driver's side one on first otherwise I'd have had to leave it with just the passenger side one on the car for the meet tomorrow!!! :D

I have a spare set of 3 door deflectors if anyone wants some.

Post them up in the Free Stuff section

Well finally got time and a fine day to try fitting the replacements they sent out over the New year holidays..... Only to find the replacements are exactly the same ad the originals with a driver's side deflector that hasn't been machined correctly and therefore pushes out the window rubbers again.

I've contacted the seller again but seeing as I've had them over two months already I'm not holding out much hope of getting anything back from them. But I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Now bearing in mind I thought I'd play safe and get them from the same seller as others have used on here I can only assume they are both from the same faulty batch etc..... As no-one else has had issues with them in the past.

I've taken some more pics to try and show how the two deflectors differ in profile.

The first one is a comparison of the two with the good one on the right and the one that doesn't fit properly in the left.

The second pic is of the driver's side one with the extra lip that hasn't been machined out/off correctly circled.

The third pic is the same area of the passenger side one that has been machined correctly and has no lip.
