dsg transmission rough at 20-25 mph

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2014 se,19000 miles. I detect a rough patch at 20-25 mph .It appears to be in transmission. It disappears at higher revs and speed. Dealer changed wheel bearing but problem is still there.

This is my first Skoda which I like alot I don't want it to be my last!!

Any ideas

Cheers

DSG problems generally occur when pulling away (worse in reverse) and when changing down at slow speeds e.g. from 2nd to 1st at islands etc. It's unusual for there to be a problem once underway and at that sort of speed.

Reason  is that problems are usually found to be with the engagement of the clutches and usually down to the Mechatronic unit.

I think your problem is something else but as your car is still under warranty it's down to the dealer to investigate.

Which engine & DSG is it, what age, and how many miles has the car done, and what servicing or maintenance or service campaign work has it had other than a wheel bearing done?

6 speed DSG need Servicing / Oil Changes.

7 speed DSG need no servicing but there was a Service Campaign that has the Oil changed and a Software Update.
