Insurance with eibachs

Hi guys,

Ill let you know my predicament.

Im basically loking to lower the car on eibachs, just springs. i told my ins company (screentrade - through NIG options) and they said cant do that. Now im a named driver on my mums policy currently. I have had quotes from other people for the vRS and they are literally 4 times as much as now. So this is not an option.

However, my mate has recently advised me to simply say to them stop arsing about and just get it underwritten and theyd charge me 200 extra approx. Is this possible? i was always under the impression a no was a no?
