Epc light on, won't start

Featured Replies

Hi anyone able to help offer advice etc. Driving up the M6 this morning in my Octy 2010 1.8Tsi dsg kickdown to overtake a car and the Epc light came on, slight judder. Came off at Junction 40 as me and the family are staying at Centre Parcs for 3 nights. Pulled over in first layby and switched switched off.. To my horror car wouldn't restart, phone for recovery couldn't fix it, ended up arriving at centre Parcs on a flat bed. The car was put in the staff car park, I'm gonna ring Skoda Carlisle in the morning. Recovery man seems to think it's the O2 sensor, I'm worried as we are supposed to leave back from Huddersfield on Friday morning, anyone recommend a solution/advice.

if your with the rac or the aa i'd take a chance and ask them to carry the car to your local dealer.

Get someone to read the fault codes. I can't be more help because they're only golden, not crystal!

Hi just a quick update, the car made the return journey home in the back of a flatbed. I've had someone look at the car, he changed the coil packs as there were misfires detected on the scan. He changed the plugs at the same time, that got rid of the misfires, but the car still hesitates when pulling away and when pushed. Now just to round off my year, the gearbox light has started flashing, gear changes are erratic and jerky. feels like the car is gonna stall (Dsg)? Thing is no errors show for the gearbox. When I select reverse gear on a slight Hill, it goes berserk, vibrates and jerk. I had a clutch pack fitted by Skoda 15 months ago. The Epc light has come back on.
