PCP Renewal

Featured Replies

Hi all, just wondering if someone can steer me in the right direction and make sure my ducks are in a row

I'm hoping to have my new RS on the road the 4th of January, but as this is the first time I've renewed such a deal I'm not entirely sure of the payments process.

My current PCP contract is taken from my bank the 25th of each month, and as I hope to have the new car the 4th, will this mean I owe two weeks of payment on my current car? Or do I just hand the keys back for that one, with no money owed and the payment date of the 25th carries onto the new car?

Cheers

JC

You need to check the payment date for the new car, but the deposit is usually counted as the first month's payment on PCP. You may even find your first monthly payment isn't taken until 25th Feb. You can register for an online account with VWFS and it lets you see all this info plus request changes to payment dates etc.

VWFS asked me what date I wanted the Direct Debit to leave my bank account so they are flexible. I'd imagine if you are rolling from one PCP directly into another one they'll simply keep everything as is.

I reckon you'll pay the last payment on the current car on the 25th, hand it back, pick up the new motor and have the first payment on the new car on either the 25th January or the 25th February.
