Does anyone use their DA as a sanding machine also?  I need to do some woodwork and I want to sand the filled and primed boards.  A DA with a sanding disc would make this a LOT easier.

 

If so, where would you recommend I get the discs from?

Although in principle - you can go this route.... personally my concern has to be cross contamination.

 

In that, whatever material you are sanding.... some debris/remnants will reside on or in the machine and could be transferred to polishing pads thereafter....

 

Just my thoughts.

As above, I'd rather pop to B&Q and buy a dedicated sander, keep the DA for the car.
